The Elevation Experience Presented by Visit Lauderdale

The Elevation Experience presented by Visit Lauderdale is a diversity and inclusion initiative targeting women in leadership. At the core, is a driving mission to equip the hearts of female leaders nationwide. The latest female-owned business stats revealed there are now 12.3 million women-owned businesses in the US and even more are on the rise!
Hear from influential female leaders who have successfully cultivated corporate and entrepreneurial platforms to produce wealth while impacting and contributing to their communities. These leaders are committed to family, health, and wellness and understand the power of building a personal and professional brand while remaining true to their authentic values. Come prepared to leave with practical knowledge on how you can attain the same. This isn’t your ordinary conference, it’s a movement.

OBC Golf Tournament

The Orange Blossom Classic (OBC) Golf Tournament is an annual event that kicks off OBC Weekend. The purpose of the event is to support OBC’s initiative to raise scholarship dollars to support participating schools and local high school student scholarship recipients. This event brings the who’s who of South Florida, Tallahassee, FL, Jackson, MS and beyond for a competitive, yet friendly round of golf.

The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is the proud sponsor of the Commissioner’s Welcome Reception and Luncheon. While enjoying a beautiful afternoon at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort in Aventura, FL over a charming spread, entertained by a Grammy Nominated Artist, we will honor amazing HBCU alumnae in Sports, Politics, Social Justice and Entertainment, as well as hear a special keynote address. This celebration confirms the importance of legacy and amplifies the rich history that is HBCU’s. Not only is this event a celebration, but also a pivotal opportunity in the weekend to reach our monetary goals for our scholarship fund, in which we will select qualifying students from both participating schools.
The Stompdown

In partnership with the Orange Blossom Classic, The Stompdown is the nation’s largest touring step show competition comprised of Youth and Greek Fraternity/Sorority step teams from all over the country. The Stompdown is a SHOW STOPPER and has drawn THOUSANDS in attendance from coast to coast! The Stompdown is guaranteed to be ELECTRIFYING and will leave you on the EDGE of your seat! OBC Parade
Location: City of Miami Gardens
Time: 9am
A historic classic game deserves a staple fan-fest celebration! Join us in the beautiful City of Miami Gardens, in your favorite HBCU apparel and comfortable lounge chairs for the Orange Blossom Classic’s One Big Community Parade. This is a special moment to experience the true essence of the OBC, by spotlighting some of our local political figures, high school bands, social and civic entities, fierce traveling dance squads, and some legendary figures. The OBC Parade will make its way from Miami Carol City Senior High School to Betty T. Ferguson Center.
HBCU Reunion on the Yard Presented by Celsius
Location: Betty T. Ferguson Recreation Center, 3000 NW 199th St, Miami Gardens, FL 33056
Time: 11am – 2pm
HBCU Reunion on the Yard Presented by Celsius is a day of family fun for all! Relive your days ‘ on the yard‘ and represent your HBCU or Divine 9 organization at Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex in Miami Gardens on Saturday, September 2nd immediately following the OBC Parade. This event will feature live performances, music, food trucks, merchandise vendors, and more! This event is FREE and open to the public.
Battle of the Bands

2022 was a sell out! Get your tickets today and come watch local high school marching bands go head-to-head for bragging rights as the Best Band in The Land! This event is sure to keep fans entertained from start to finish! The grand finale will give a sneak peek into the OBC halftime show, as we feature an electrifying battle between the world-renowned Florida A&M “Marching 100” and the incomparable Jackson State “Sonic Boom of the South”.
