Cortez Bryant Foundation and OBC Golf Tournament

The Orange Blossom Classic weekend kicks off with a friendly challenge on the green.  The Golf Tournament is a calm and relaxing way to start the weekend while aiding the joint efforts to fundraise for both participating universities, Florida A&M University and Jackson State University.  This year we offer a golf experience in conjunction with the HBCU Music Mogul, Cortez Bryant on behalf of the Cortez Bryant Foundation. So, get your foursome, polish your clubs, put on your stylish gear and join us at the Orange Blossom Golf Tournament.

The Orange Blossom Careers in Sports and Entertainment Symposium will bring together leading minds in the Sports Industry.  This year we will explore the political and social impact in the sporting industry as we present “My Platform, My Voice”.   On the campus of St. Thomas University and in the newly dedicated Benjamin L. Crump Center for Social Justice, the panelists will prompt in-depth discussions of the cutting-edge issues and the strategies to be an effective voice. This event includes networking opportunities for industry leaders and students at large resulting, in career growth and collaboration.

Amazon Career Recruitment Fair Hosted by Career Source

In addition to the symposium, the Amazon Career Fair hosted by Career Source will take place immediately after the symposium and will feature the following career opportunities, Molson Coors, Riddell, DuCon, Onyx Financial, Balfour Beatty, NFL Films, Nascar Training, Ready Life, Allstate, Denny’s, Baptist Health, and AT&T.

Battle of the Bands

The Orange Blossom Classic Battle of the Bands is back with a remix of its own in an indoor multi-purpose arena on the grounds of University of Miami.  For sure to be a showcase of talent from local high school bands from the tri-county area for the chance to receive the unanimous nod for the title of “Best Band in the Land”. Then brace yourself for an appearance from the mighty FAMU Marching 100s and the Jackson State Sonic Boom. The bands will thrill and entertain you as they set the stage in precision marching, musicianship, and the heritage of our HBCU Marching Bands.   This battle is guaranteed to keep you on your feet, out of your seats, and get you hype for the big game during the Orange Blossom Classic weekend.

The Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens will host the Orange Blossom Classic. We are excited to celebrate this historical event’s legacy in this state of the art entertainment facility.
